7.3 Where not already done, local governments should declare a climate emergency to enable council and staff to dedicate the resources required to immediately reduce community wide GHG emissions.


Note that at the time of writing the Ocean Watch: Atl'ka7tsem/Howe Sound 2020 Edition, the following communities had declared a climate emergency:

- Bowen Island
- District of Squamish
- City of Vancouver
- West Vancouver
- Islands Trust
